Family alleges murder linked to rejected marriage proposal

As per Punjab Newsline, the family alleged that she was abducted at gunpoint. According to her brother,ย Inder Kaur left her home at around 6:30 pm on May 13 in her car to buy household essentials but did not return. After repeatedly failing to reach her, her family began searching for her and eventually filed a police complaint.
During the probe, police reportedly discovered that the singer was acquainted with a man identified as Sukhwinder Singh, a Moga resident currently living in Canada.
The family has alleged that although the accused was already married and had children, he continued to pressure Inder Kaur into marrying him. They further claimed that he fled abroad after allegedly plotting the crime and accused him of orchestrating the entire conspiracy from Canada.
