Hailing the Bharatiya Janata Partyโ€™s (BJP) landslide victory in the Assembly elections 2023 in three states – Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, Union Minister Anurag Thakur said, the win of the party โ€œproved that people rejected caste politics and want development.โ€

โ€˜People want double-engine governmentโ€™

Thakur called the victory โ€œspecialโ€ and said people trust Prime Minister Narendra Modi. โ€œThis victory is historic,โ€ he added.

โ€œPeople want โ€˜double engineโ€™ government. People witnessed โ€˜double engineโ€™ government in Madhya Pradesh and at the national level, and hence this bumper victory,โ€ Thakur said.

As the counting of votes for the Assembly election 2023 in four states continues, BJP is leading in three – Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh.

In Telangana, Congress is seen ousting the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) led by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
