Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by a margin of 10 runs in a thrilling match that went down to the wire in Hyderabad on Saturday evening.

Batting first, SRH scored 194 for 9 in their allotted 20 overs, courtesy of a brilliant 15-ball half-century by Abhishek Sharma and a steady contribution from Heinrich Klaasen. Abhishek smashed the joint-fastest fifty of IPL 2026, matching Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.

Batting second, CSK, which was cruising towards the chase and needed 84 off 60 balls to secure victory, was restricted by Eshan Malinga and Nitish Kumar Reddy, who took five wickets between them.

With this win, SRH has climbed into the top four of the standings, while CSK remains at the bottom of the table.

SRH bowlers’ disciplined effort restricted a struggling CSK to 184 for 8 in their allotted 20 overs. This is CSK’s fourth defeat in six matches.
