Rajasthan Royals (RR) have beaten the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 40 runs in their IPL match here on Wednesday evening.

Winning the toss and putting Rajasthan into bat, LSG bowlers Mohammad Shami and Mohsin Khan shared two wickets each as LSG restricted Rajasthan to a modest 159 for six after bowling the entire 20 overs.

Left-hander Ravindra Jadeja scored 43 not out of 29 balls for the team Rajasthan. Batting second to chase the modest target, which should have been easy given the LSG’s long batting line-up, the hosts were bowled out for 119 in overs.

For RR, Jofra Archer was the most successful bowler with figures of 3/20.
