Four years ago, when producer Mansi Bagla embarked on her filmmaking journey with Mini Films, she had little more than conviction, passion and an unwavering belief in the power of storytelling. Without the advantage of a godfather in the film industry, she chose to carve her own path.

As Mini Films marks four years since the release of its debut production Forensic, Mansi looks back on a journey defined not by shortcuts, but by perseverance, adaptability and the courage to keep moving forward. What began with instinct has evolved into a deeper understanding of the craft and business of filmmaking.

Speaking about the values that continue to guide her both personally and professionally, Mansi Bagla says,“Growth is important, but so is the process that gets you there. I’ve always been selective, not just in films, but in life. Meaningful relationships, meaningful conversations and meaningful choices have shaped who I am and the stories I choose to tell. The industry teaches you many lessons through both success and experience, but through it all, I continue to choose purpose over noise.”

Her journey reflects the growing influence of a new generation of women producers who are shaping contemporary Indian cinema through conviction, creativity and independent thinking.

Reflecting on her journey and the road ahead, Mansi says, “In filmmaking, faith is believing in a story before the audience does. Over the years, I’ve come to believe that success amplifies who you already are. It gives people a larger platform to express qualities that were always there. That’s why character matters just as much as capability. Talent may open doors, but character determines how you walk through them. As I look ahead, my focus remains on telling stories that move people, challenge perspectives and stay with audiences long after the credits roll. The best phase of my career isn’t behind me; it’s what I’m building next.”

Together, Mansi Bagla and Varun Bagla founded Mini Films with the vision of championing meaningful, content-driven cinema. While Mansi leads the creative vision, Varun has played an equally integral role as a producer, helping shape the company’s journey through strategic planning, production oversight and a shared belief in powerful storytelling.

Reflecting on the 4-year milestone, Mansi Bagla said, “When Forensic began its journey, I was driven by passion, instinct and faith. Four years later, I remain guided by the same values, but with a deeper understanding of what filmmaking truly demands. These years have taught me that success requires not just creativity, but resilience and above all, the courage to keep building through every season. The journey has been filled with invaluable over, and if there’s one thing that has remained constant, it’s my passion for storytelling.

I’ve learned that not every victory is visible and that some of the most meaningful growth happens behind the scenes. Every project teaches you something new about yourself, your craft and your purpose and those lessons are what continue to shape me as a producer and storyteller.”

Talking about the evolving landscape of Hindi cinema and her own creative journey, Mansi said, “This is an exciting time for Hindi cinema. Audiences today are embracing fresh ideas and stories that feel authentic and emotionally resonant.
The love received by films like _Dhurandhar 2_ and Obsession reflects this shift, not just because of their scale or box office numbers, but because they have managed to spark curiosity and connect with audiences. I’ve always believed that the true success of a film lies in its ability to make people feel something. But this is just the beginning. There are many more stories I want to tell, many more creative risks I want to take, and much more I hope to share with audiences through my work.”

Over the last four years, Mini Films has produced projects featuring acclaimed actors such as Vikrant Massey, Radhika Apte and Prachi Desai, while also launching Shanaya Kapoor’s journey in Hindi cinema through her debut film reflecting the banner’s belief in both celebrated talent and fresh voices. For Mansi, every project regardless of scale remains rooted in the same philosophy: from conviction to creation and from passion to purpose.
