Diljit Dosanjh, the Punjabi singer and actor, is an Indian sensation whose popularity transcends boundaries. His albums and films and performances have been praised critics and fans. Some of his Hindi films are Udta Punjab, Phillauri, Good Newwz, and most recently Border 2. He will next be seen in Imtiaz Ali’s Main Vaapas Aaoonga, which reunites him with the filmmaker after Amar Singh Chamkila.

And then there’s Sezal Sharma, known for her work in Punjabi cinema, who turned heads at the Cannes Film Festival 2026 as she shared a series of striking photographs from her appearance in a bold red outfit, capturing the elegance and grandeur of the global cinema celebration.

Talking about working with Diljit, the actress said, “I would absolutely love to collaborate with Diljit Dosanjh. Diljit Dosanjh no longer an Indian citizen?

A report by The Indian Express says
the actor now holds a US passport. It added that he has been travelling to India on an e-visa since September 2022, which sources told the newspaper indicates that he does not hold an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card.

Diljit Dosanjh was in Canada recently for his show, the ongoing Aura Tour in Calgary to be precise. Everything was going well until some members of the audience began to wave pro-Khalistan flags that forced Dosanjh to halt his performance. The video has gone viral on social media too.
