Global music icons, including J Balvin, Katy Perry, Future, Alanis Morissette and Michael Bublé, are set to perform at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, co-hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada.

The tournament will kick off on June 11 with the opening match between hosts Mexico and South Africa at the iconic Azteca Stadium (renamed Mexico City Stadium for the event).

The opening ceremony in Mexico City will feature top Latin artists such as Colombian superstar J Balvin, Mexican rock band Maná, Alejandro Fernández, Belinda and Lila Downs, along with South African singer Tyla and Los Ángeles Azules.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino said, “The world will share this moment, and that’s how this tournament will begin. Starting in Mexico City and continuing in Toronto and Los Angeles, these ceremonies will bring together music, culture and football in a way that reflects both the individuality of each nation and the unity that defines this tournament.”

Canada will face Bosnia and Herzegovina on June 12 in Toronto, with performances by Alanis Morissette, Michael Bublé, Alessia Cara, Elyanna, Jessie Reyez and Nora Fatehi.

The United States will open its campaign against Paraguay in Los Angeles, where pop megastar Katy Perry, who headlined the Super Bowl halftime show in 2015, will perform. She will be joined by rapper Future, BLACKPINK’s Lisa, Brazilian superstar Anitta, Rema, Tyla and many more artists yet to be announced. “This opening ceremony in Los Angeles represents the extraordinary scale of what the FIFA World Cup 2026 will become,” Infantino added.
