Fans are cheering for her version of the song and demanding that it be included in the film as well.
In an interview with The Hindu, the singer discusses what this performance means to her and her struggles with the film and music industry since 2018, when she named popular lyricist Vairamuthu and several others as part of the #MeToo movement.
AR Rahman has composed the filmโs music. Thug Life, directed by Mani Ratnam, starsย Kamal Haasan, Silambarasan TR and Trisha Krishnan, who were all present at the event where Chinmayi performed.
