The trailer for Andor Season 2 has finally arrived, offering us a glimpse at the next chapter in Cassian Andorโ€™s journey toward the Rebel Alliance. The Star Wars series, which serves as a prequel to Rogue One, is set to return to Disney+ on April 22.

The upcoming season will continue Cassian Andorโ€™s transformation from a fugitive to a committed revolutionary. Alongside returning cast members Diego Luna, Stellan Skarsgรฅrd, Genevieve Oโ€™Reilly, Kyle Soller, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, Faye Marsay, Varada Sethu, and Forest Whitaker, the new trailer reveals the return of Ben Mendelsohn as Imperial officer Orson Krennic and Alan Tudyk as K-2SO, the reprogrammed droid first introduced in Rogue One.

The 12-episode season will be structured into four narrative arcs, each spanning three episodes and covering key moments in the years leading up to Rogue One. According to showrunner Tony Gilroy, the series aims to highlight the moral dilemmas faced by individuals on both sides of the conflict. โ€œOne of the great thrills of making Andor is the scale of the story and the number of characters weโ€™re able to meet โ€” ordinary people, Imperial overlords, passionate revolutionaries. They are real peopel making epic decisions, all of them staring down questions with terrifying consequences,โ€ Gilroy said in a statement.

Gilroy, who co-wrote Rogue One, serves as executive producer alongside Kathleen Kennedy, Sanne Wohlenberg, Luna, Luke Hull, and John Gilroy. The seasonโ€™s episodes are directed by Ariel Kleiman, Janus Metz, and Alonso Ruizpalacios, with scripts written by Gilroy, Beau Willimon, Dan Gilroy, and Tom Bissell.

This sophomore season is expected to bring Cassianโ€™s story to its pivotal conclusion, bridging the gap to the events of Rogue One.
