Actor Salman Khan has announced the postponement of the โThe Bollywood Big Oneโ tour, scheduled to take place in the UK on May 4 and 5, in light of the tragic terror attack in Pahalgam last week, which claimed 26 lives. The event, a live Bollywood jamboree featuring stars like Salman, Varun Dhawan, Sara Ali Khan, Madhuri Dixit Nene and others, now stands deferred to a future date.
โIn light of the recent tragic events in Kashmir, and with profound sadness, we have taken the difficult decision to postpone The Bollywood Big One shows, originally scheduled for May 4th and 5th in Manchester and London,โ Salman wrote on Instagram.
While acknowledging the enthusiasm of fans, Salman expressed that it felt โonly right to pause during this time of grief.โ
โWe sincerely apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience this may cause and deeply appreciate your understanding and support. New dates for the shows will be announced shortly,โ the 59-year-old actor wrote.
Earlier, singers Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal had also cancelled their respective concerts in observance of the tragedy in Kashmir. American comedian Kevin Hartโs โActing My Ageโ tour, slated to take place in New Delhi, was also cancelled.
26 people, mostly tourists, died while others were injured after terrorists open fire in the Baisaran valley in Pahalgam on April 22, 2025. The location is a popular tourist hotspot. Several celebrities from the Indian film industry and beyond condemned the attack.
