US President Donald Trump once again defended his aggressive tariff strategy, claiming it is generating “TRILLIONS of Dollars” for America and has functioned as a powerful tool to prevent international conflicts.In a Truth Social post on Sunday, Trump wrote, “We are taking in TRILLIONS of Dollars in Tariffs and Investment Dollars from foreign lands because of Tariffs. I have stopped 5 of the eight WARS directly because of the threat of Tariffs if they don’t stop fighting or, better yet, if they start.”Trump has repeatedly claimed that he has solved 8 wars across the globe, including brokering a ceasefire between India and Pakistan during the May standoff by threatening them with 350 per cent tariffs.

Trump further argued that tariffs are vital to the US economy and security. “There is almost no Inflation, and the worst in USA History under Sleepy Joe Biden,” he said, adding, “The Stock Market just hit an ALL-TIME HIGH for the 48th time in 9 months.”Turning to his critics, Trump targeted Federalist Society leader Leonard Leo, the Koch network, and foreign governments for “ripping off” the US through the use of their own tariffs.Trump’s criticism of Leo follows a public fallout earlier this year. In May, he attacked his once ally after the US Court of International Trade struck down his tariffs, calling him a “sleazebag” who “probably hates America.”The latest remarks add to Trump’s ongoing defence of his tariff-driven agenda, which he continues to frame as central to US strength both at home and abroad.
