Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, who also helmed the first part, Raid 2 hit the screens on May 01, 2025. The makers said in an official release that the Hindi movie has crossed the ₹150-crore mark at the box office. “Raid 2 has crossed the mighty ₹150 crore mark as it storms through its third weekend.”

“The third weekend alone added ₹13.45 crore nett (Friday+ Saturday+ Sunday) at the box office, taking the total nett collection to ₹153.67 crore and counting,” the makers said. On Friday (May 16, 2025), the movie made ₹3.12 crore while on Saturday (May 17, 2025) and Sunday (May 18, 2025) it collected ₹4.51 and ₹5.82 respectively, as per the makers.

Raid 2 also stars Riteish Deshmukh, Rajat Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla, Supriya Pathak and Amit Sial. Amit Trivedi has composed the background score for the movie while Sandeep Francis has done the editing. Sudhir Kumar Chaudhary is the cinematographer.

In the movie, Ajay Devgn plays the roleof Amay Patnaik, an IRS officer. The Hindu review of the movie says, “The build-up unfolds along predictable, bombastic lines, interspersed with Patnaik’s family life, where Vani Kapoor replaces Ileana D’Cruz to complete the three-scene, one-and-a-half-song routine. The second half opens with a customary item number. In between, the tedious search for unaccounted cash that felt realistic and exciting in the original looks repetitive and made up here.”
