Nicolas Cage is officially stepping into the shadows as Spider-Man Noir, this time in live action. Prime Video has released the first look at Spider-Noir, showing Cage suited up in the black-and-white costume fans will recognize from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

The series, based on the Spider-Man Noir comics, is set in 1930s New York and follows an aging private investigator who must confront his past as the cityโ€™s only superhero. Cage, who voiced the character in the animated Spider-Verse film, now takes on the role in a full live-action format. The show will be available in both black-and-white and color versions when it premieres in 2026.

Spider-Noir will first air domestically on MGM+โ€™s linear channel before streaming globally on Prime Video. The ensemble cast includes Lamorne Morris, Brendan Gleeson, Abraham Popoola, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, and Jack Huston. A number of guest stars are also confirmed, including Lukas Haas and Cameron Britton.

The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television for MGM+ and Prime Video. Harry Bradbeer (Fleabag, Killing Eve) is directing and executive producing the first two episodes. Oren Uziel (The Lost City, 22 Jump Street) and Steve Lightfoot (Marvelโ€™s The Punisher) serve as co-showrunners and executive producers. The show was developed in collaboration with Spider-Verse filmmakers Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal, all of whom return as executive producers.

While not directly tied to the Spider-Verse films, Spider-Noir draws from the same gritty tone and visual style, with a darker, more grounded take on the superhero mythos.
