A R Rahman will compose music for Killer, directed by S J Suryah. The seasoned actor is set to don the director’s hat after 2015.

Suryah announced on June 27, 2025 that he is returning as a director with Killer. The movie will be produced by Gokulam Gopalan of Sree Gokulam Movies.

The movie will be co-produced by S J Suryah’s banner Angel Studios. On July 07, 2025 (Monday), Suryah took to social media to make it official that A R Rahman will be composing music for his movie.

“The musical legend, Indian pride and our one and only A R Rahman sir, welcome on board, sir,” Suryah wrote on X (formerly Twitter). Rahman last worked for Thug Life, the much-hyped Kamal Haasan-Mani Ratnam project.

Suryah, known for directorials such as Vaali, Kushi and New, last directed Isai. A musical thriller, Suryah played the lead while Sathyaraj and Sulagana Panigrahi played important roles. As for his acting career, Suryah recently starred in Shankar-Ram Charan’s Game Changer and the Vikram-starrer Veera Dheera Sooran.
