Actor Abhinaya, best known for starring in films like Nadodigal, Kuttram 23, Mark Antony, and Pani, got engaged to her long-time boyfriend on Sunday. This comes just a month after the actor revealed in an interview that she has been in a relationship for over 15 years with her childhood friend.
Taking to her Instagram handle, Abhinaya shared a picture of hers and her partnerโs hands ringing a temple bell. However, she didnโt reveal the identity of her partner.
A hearing and speech-impaired actor, Abhinaya made her on-screen debut with 2008โs Telugu film Neninthe. However, it was Samurathirakaniโs Naadodigal that gave her a break in mainstream cinema. Since then, she has acted in over 55 films in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
Rumours about Abhinayaโs personal life have been making the rounds for quite some time now. After speculations arose that she was dating a popular Tamil hero, Abhinaya denied the rumours and opened up on her relationship.
โI am in a relationship. I have a boyfriend. We have been childhood friends, and our love has lasted for 15 years. He is my closest friend. I can talk to him about anything, and he listens without judgment. Our love grew through conversations,โ Abhinaya said in an interview.
