How Shahid Kapoor came on board for Cocktail 2
A report by PeepingMoon confirmed the development and a source was quoted saying, โDinesh Vijan and Homi Adajania have been toying with the idea of a โCocktailโ sequel for years, and theyโve now crafted a storyline that they believe matches the magic of the first film. Although โCocktail 2โ features a completely new narrative, its tone and vibrant setting reminisce about the original, thus being labeled a sequel.โ
The source added, โShahid loved the story and is already on board, while discussions with several leading young actresses are in progress.โ
Shahid Kapoor on his Bollywood journey
In an interview with Firstpost during the promotions of Bloody Daddy, the actor said, โIshq Vishk was a very sweet and romantic kind of red and this is a very intense kind of red. But thatโs I guess how much time it takes for somebody like me who has a boyish personality, it takes some time to enter more manly kind of a character.โ
Shahid continued, โSo letโs just say Iโve been waiting for a character like this for a very long time and Iโm very happy to be accepted in this space. I started very early with films like Kaminey and Haider which are more than a decade-old right; thereโs more to me than what you see. If you want to be diverse in your choices, give people different experiences and grow, you need to choose different roles.โ
