Airport tech infra push: Noida International Airport partners Tech Mahindra for network; integrated centre to anchor operations

Noida International Airport (NIA) has tied up with IT services firm Tech Mahindra to establish and operate an integrated Network and Security Operations Centre (NOC-SOC), placing cybersecurity and digital resilience at the core of the airportโ€™s operations from the outset, PTI reported.Under the partnership, Tech Mahindra will deliver 24ร—7 monitoring and management of network and security operations for the airportโ€™s critical IT infrastructure. This will include oversight of applications, databases, networks, servers, storage systems and associated digital platforms, according to a joint statement issued on Tuesday.The integrated NOC-SOC is designed to enable proactive detection, analysis and response to network and cybersecurity incidents, with the aim of ensuring high availability, operational resilience and robust security across airport operations.โ€œAs a greenfield airport, we have the unique opportunity to embed resilience, security and operational excellence into our digital ecosystem from day one,โ€ Christoph Schnellmann, chief executive officer of Noida International Airport, said. โ€œOur partnership with Tech Mahindra is a critical step in building a robust, future-ready network and cybersecurity framework that supports safe, reliable and seamless airport operations.โ€Noida International Airport is coming up at Jewar under a public-private partnership model and is being developed by Yamuna International Airport Private Limited, a subsidiary of Zurich Airport International AG. The first phase of the project spans about 1,300 hectares and includes one runway and a terminal building.Once completed across four phases, the airport will cover nearly 5,000 hectares, making it Indiaโ€™s largest airport in terms of area. Airport operations are expected to begin soon, PTI reported.
