India’s frontline pacer Jasprit Bumrah is scheduled to play the third Test match against England at Lord’s after having been rested for the second match of the five-Test series.

“Third Test being at Lord’s, we think there’ll be more in that pitch, so we’ll use him there. We were tempted to play Kuldeep Yadav, but decided to add some depth to the batting,” Gill said during the toss ahead of the second Test match on Wednesday.

Bumrah was rested for the second Test as part of his workload management. The third Test is scheduled to start on July 10. The Indian team management had clarified even before the series began that Bumrah would play in three of the five Test matches.
