The 23rd National Para Athletics Championship 2025 is set to be a monumental event for athletes across India, and its official logo and mascot were unveiled in a ceremony held in Chennai on Wednesday.

The championship, scheduled for February 17 to 20, will see over 1,700 para-athletes participating in a display of resilience and sporting excellence. This will be India’s premier event celebrating the power of determination in the world of para-sports.

The unveiling event was attended by several distinguished figures, including Atulya Misra, Additional Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu, and Meghanath Reddy, the Member Secretary of the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT) and Organising Chairman of the event.

Other notable attendees included Jayawant Gundu, Secretary of the Paralympic Committee of India, Arjuna Awardee and para-badminton player Thulasimathi Murugesan, and Kirubakara Raja, Secretary of the Tamil Nadu Paralympic Sports Association.

The event marked an emotional moment as all the dignitaries proudly held up the logo and mascot, symbolising the commitment of Tamil Nadu to empowering para-athletes and promoting inclusivity in sports.
