Thor Chuan Leong of Malaysia defeated Paras Gupta of India in the summit clash to win the ACBS Asian 6-Red Snooker Championship on Wednesday.

Both the players had won their semifinals with upset wins, and the final was expected to be an engagingly close affair. But the 30-year-old Malaysian scored a comfortable 6-2 win over Gupta.

Gupta scored a 5-1 win over former IBSF World (15-red) champion Ali Al Obaidli of Qatar, but could not reproduce his performance in the title clash. Leong defeated three-time world champion (15-red) Muhammad Asif of Pakistan 5-2 in the other semifinal.
