Bollywood actor Kajol has responded to the controversy around her comments on the Ramoji Film City. The actor is busy promoting her upcoming horror drama Maa. The Hindi movie, part of the Shaitaan horror films, is set to hit the screens on June 27, 2025.
In one of the recent interviews, Kajol had said that the popular film studio is โone of the most haunted places in the world.โ Following her remark, fans slammed her for โbeing jealous about the Telugu industry.โ

The actor took to social media to issue a clarification about her statement. โI wish to address my earlier remark about Ramoji Film City in the context of promoting my film MAA. I have filmed multiple projects at Ramoji Film City and stayed there many times over the years,โ wrote Kajol.
โI have always found it to be a very professional environment for filmmaking, and I have seen so many tourists enjoying themselves. Itโs a great destination and absolutely safe for families and children,โ she added.
In her interview, talking about her experience at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, Kajol had said, โThere are a lot of places where we have been, stayed there, and even shot at, but we couldnโt sleep the whole night. Or we felt like getting out of there would become a big deal, and that we would never come back there.

โThere are many places, but one prime example is Ramoji Rao Studios inย Hyderabad, which is considered one of the most haunted places in the world. A few times I have felt, oh God, but he has taken care of me, and I havenโt encountered a ghost in person to date.โ
