India on top at Seychelles Boxing Tournament

Indian boxers finished on top of the standings at the Seychelles National Day Boxing Tournament by winning seven medals, including three gold, three silver and a bronze. India won one medal more than Mauritius to emerge on top in the overall tally.

While Himanshu Sharma (50kg) secured gold through walkover, Ashish Mudshaniya (55kg) won his final by way of a 4-1 split decision. In the 90+kg final, Gaurav Chauhan registered a 3-2 victory in a closely fought match to clinch the third gold for the country.

Anmol (60kg), Aditya Yadav (65kg) and Neeraj (75kg) settled for the sliver as lost their finals by 2-3 split decisions. Kartik Dalal secured a bronze in the 70kg category.
