Tamil actor Vijay Antony is all set to headline an upcoming courtroom drama titled Lawyer. The film is set to be written and directed by Joshua Sethuraman, who previously helmed Gentlewoman, starring Lijomol Jose, Losliya Mariyanesan, and Hari Krishnan.

The makers unveiled a title-look poster of Lawyer to announce the news.

According to a press release, the upcoming film will “realistically portray the courtroom environment and its procedures.”

While details regarding the rest of the cast are unknown, the makers have hinted that a prominent actor known throughout the nation will star as the female lead. More details are expected to be announced soon since the film is set to go on floors in June.

Fatima Vijay Antony, producer and Vijay’s wife, produces Lawyer under the Vijay Antony Film Corporation banner. Notably, like in the case of the banner’s upcoming films starring Vijay, Ga Ga Na MaarganandShakthi Thirumagan, Lawyer also carries the actor’s late daughter Meera Vijay Antony’s name as the presenter.
