Yash Raj Films on Tuesday (May 20) unveiled the teaser of its upcoming Spy Universe film War 2, headlined by Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR and Kiara Advani. The film, helmed by Brahmastra-maker Ayan Mukerji, is set to release in theatres on August 14, 2025.
Notably, Hrithikโs character made an appearance in the post-credit scene of Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif starrerย Tiger 3. The upcoming film is a sequel to the 2019 action thriller filmย War,ย which starred Hrithik, Tiger Shroff and Vani Kapoor in the lead.
Directed by Siddharth Anand,ย the first Warย film was a high-octane action drama that minted Rs 200 crores within seven days of its release in 2019. Itโs touted to be one of the highest-grossing Hindi films of that year.
War 2 has a story written by producer Aditya Chopra and a screenplay written by Shridhar Raghavan. With music scored by Pritam, the film has cinematography by Benjamin Jasper and editing by Aarif Sheikh.
Produced by Chopra under his Yash Raj Films banner, War 2 releases in theatres on August 14 ahead of the Independence Day.
